** Press reports state that the extremist Islamic armed group calls itself “Osama Front”. Its members are seen to be making sinister attempts to derail and scuttle the peace process, by exploiting tensions in the East. In some cases the Sri Lanka Police appear to have done little or nothing to protect the public.
